I'm falling more on the skeptical side of things, however. I just feel like they're not making the Hobbit so much as hey-let's-draw-this-out-into-three-movies-and-just-through-in-every-remote-plot point-from-the-appendices. The Hobbit is a fun, lighthearted book, much more so than LotR, and I was interested in seeing that story, but I don't think that's what we'll get.
