A (far too short!) snippet of Alan Rickman in 1985 as Valmont in Les Liaisons Dangereuses with the Royal Shakespeare Company. I think I stopped breathing at some point. Also, note the side-eye at 2:06 lol!

This is one of the MANY stage performances I wish I could have seen. If I had a time turner, this is what I'd use it for -- going back and seeing the legendary shows I missed.

Some guy doing a CBS tribute mentioned this play and said, "It may be hard now to imagine Rickman as a Machiavellian seducer. . . "

Huh? In what universe and time would it EVER be hard to imagine that?
