Thank you, that warms my heart -- it's so kind of you to reach out :) I'm ok, I guess, at least for current values of "okay." Just deeply exhausted with the evil roller coaster of bad news that seems to be the daily diet these days :( The latest SCOTUS decisions have left me utterly wrung out with rage and grief and fear of what is coming next. I'm constantly on the verge of tears; I don't understand what's happening; I barely recognize my country any more. I keep thinking of Yeats' poem: "...the best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity."

*sigh*

So, right now I'm encouraging myself by (a) watching and re-watching Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, as they epitomize honor, sacrifice, and genuine patriotism, and (b) hoping that all of this will energize voters in the midterms, and that there are enough folks out there who are as appalled as I am at the cruelty and stupidity of a disturbingly large swath of everyday Americans, not to mention their selfish and cynical leadership.
