"My Immortal" gets a webseries

An infamously bad HP fanfic has been adapted as a very tongue-in-cheek web series. I hate to say it, but this actually makes me want to go read it. (Although perhaps it was meant from the start as a spoof? Surely no one would come up with the name "Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way" and expect to be taken seriously...) Regardless, this is very funny indeed:

My Immortal may possibly have been genuine at the first few chapters, but it's hard to tell. I've read that the account was hacked and a lot of it was not actually written by the original author in any case, but the story's Fanlore article doesn't address that.

It's hard to actually sit through and read. Besides the silliness of plot (ha) and characters, the style gets tiresome and hard on the eyes. szaleniec1000 on YouTube has a series of a, er, dramatic reading of the fic with humorous slides which is quite funny.

It is probably a mark of my pedantic Ravenclawness that I was like "hey, but Enoby doesn't have her canon hair color!"

I cant believe these folks are beggin for money on kickstarter. Fan projects like this used to be done out of love. -sighs-
