Happy birthday to me!!

As my mom says, "Well, you're another year older, but at least you're still on the right side of the grass!"

Thanks to everyone who has sent birthday greetings, birthday wishes, and birthday prezzies, most especially [livejournal.com profile] rivertempest who sent me a mug with some gorgeous Severus art and the most incredible selection of teas I have ever seen, based on Supernatural, complete with special thingy for steeping!

Bobby Singer's blend has actual gunpowder in it. I'm a little worried about that one :O

And my dear Mr Psmith, who took me out to a NOMZ dinner and bought me the most lovely roses ever which currently have pride of place on the piano:

Happy birthday, indeed! What a lovely assortment of goodies...although I would agree with the gunpowder. O_o

Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating!

Those *are* lovely roses! Wow.

I love Adagio tea. Their fandom teas are too fun to resist. And a nice thing for a birthday, too. :)

I agree totally! I've tried their Sherlock and My Little Pony samplers as well. Mmmmm And what unique packaging and artwork!

Mwhahahhaaa! Yes, a new obsession! Trust me, they've got lots of fandom samplers and I eventually want to try them all!

But now you only have to worry about the buying the teas, as you have the mug and tea-maker already. ;) Enjoy your new hobby. *coughs*

*squee!* You got it all! *phew*

LMAO, and no worries about the gunpowder tea:

It only has that name because it looks like gunpowder pellets. ;) It's actually very delicious! Mmmmm... tea!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAREST!

I can only imagine the snow and cold there (ours is similar except not as much snow). Why, it's a balmy 7 today, with wind chill of -10. Lovely, no? ;)

Yeah, when I first encountered gunpowder tea, I gave my husband a 'you expect me to drink this?' sort of look. Then he explained the origins of the name and it was all good. hehehe I like to blend flavors (try a spoonful of Dean with a spoonful of Impala!) and found that I like Anderson and Mycroft of my Sherlock teas. LOL I sent the Harry Potter teas to Toblass for her birthday, so I hope she enjoys hers as well.

Remember, remember, the fifth of November, the treason and gunpowder... tea? The teas, infuser, and mugs are wonderful- what a fabulous gift! I'm so happy you had such a splendid birthday! May it be the first day of an awesome year of your life! And I love that your roses match your tin whistle (is that a C whistle? If so, that's the one we have, too!).

Aw, happy birthday! What fabulous-looking teas.

Hey, are you a penny whistle player?

Popping in for a day-after Happy Birthday! It sounds like you had a good time, and wow, those teas are a delight (and sort of hilarious). I hope they all turn out to be delicious. And oh, I covet your Severus mug.

Gorgeous roses, too. Mr. Psmith has taste.

May the year be wonderful from now until your next birthday! ♥
