Thanks to everyone who has sent birthday greetings, birthday wishes, and birthday prezzies, most especially rivertempest who sent me a mug with some gorgeous Severus art and the most incredible selection of teas I have ever seen, based on Supernatural, complete with special thingy for steeping!



Bobby Singer's blend has actual gunpowder in it. I'm a little worried about that one :O

And my dear Mr Psmith, who took me out to a NOMZ dinner and bought me the most lovely roses ever which currently have pride of place on the piano:

Whew, I feel better now. So far I like Dean the best, but The Impala is quite excellent as well. I'm so much enjoying working my way through them all, and since we're in a gigantic cold snap (temp right now is a balmy THREE DEGREES) the hot beverage is very welcome!

Yes! I had never heard of them but promptly visited their website upon receiving my prezzie, and yes, there are some fabulous choices there. I fear rivertempest may have cursed me with I may have acquired an expensive new hobby...

Thank you! I had not noticed that the roses match the whistle, but how lovely :) I believe it's a C, but it might be a D -- between the two of us we have a LOT of them. Thanksgiving Day the niece and nephews discovered the stash of instruments -- whistles, harmonica, etc. -- stored inside the piano seat, and all was tuneful havoc for about 45 minutes :)

Yes, Mr Psmith and I both (I blame the local Renaissance Festival), though he plays the tabor pipe which is the one-handed version. We have quite the stash of them: C, D, F, etc. Mr Psmith's dream is to own a low D tabor pipe which we haven't actually been able to find yet. The quest goes on!!

The artwork is fabulous! Mr Psmith is a huge Supernatural fan and he got a big kick out of the art and the quotations. Plus clever little tins to keep, yay!!

I can only imagine the snow and cold there (ours is similar except not as much snow). Why, it's a balmy 7 today, with wind chill of -10. Lovely, no? ;)

Yeah, when I first encountered gunpowder tea, I gave my husband a 'you expect me to drink this?' sort of look. Then he explained the origins of the name and it was all good. hehehe I like to blend flavors (try a spoonful of Dean with a spoonful of Impala!) and found that I like Anderson and Mycroft of my Sherlock teas. LOL I sent the Harry Potter teas to Toblass for her birthday, so I hope she enjoys hers as well.

But now you only have to worry about the buying the teas, as you have the mug and tea-maker already. ;) Enjoy your new hobby. *coughs*
