So, to get myself writing again...

Day 1 - Ten random facts about yourself
Day 2 - Nine things you do everyday
Day 3 - Eight things that annoy you
Day 4 - Seven fears/phobias
Day 5 - Six songs that you’re addicted to
Day 6 - Five things you can’t live without
Day 7 - Four memories you won’t forget
Day 8 - Three words you can’t go a day without
Day 9 - Two things you wish you could do
Day 10 - One person you can trust

1. I'm quite a good pool (billiards) player.
2. I used to hate brussels sprouts and now they are my favorite cruciferous vegetable :)
3. I hate pickled ginger. It's the only part of sushi that makes me unhappy.
4. My first job was at Long John Silver's when I was fourteen. I smelled like grease for two years BUT I HAD MONEY!!!
5. If I were single/unattached I would get a job with Amtrak. I love riding the train.
6. I once got a pony for Christmas. Really. (Best Christmas EVER.)
7. I found out the other day that someone I worked with briefly more than ten years ago still holds a grudge against me and I have no idea why. This is more than a little discomfiting, but there you go: you can't please all of the people all of the time.
8. The first movie I actually remember going to the theatre to see is Star Wars (1977). For years I thought the 20th Century-Fox fanfare was actually part of the Star Wars soundtrack (also, that scene where Luke puts one foot up on the rock under the binary-sunset? I thought for sure he was going to sing lol!)
9. I've kept a journal since I was eleven. Early entries consist of Deep Thoughts like "My brother is an annoying toad."
10. In first grade I got sent to the principal's office for chasing a little boy and trying to kiss him.

2. Oh, me, too! I LOVE roasted vegetables, especially brussels sprouts, tossed with some pancetta and balsamic vinegar. Yum! Also, roasted beets are very addictive, but they turn your pee red if you eat too many (Boy, did THAT scare the piss out of me!) I love raw veggies like carrots, beets, and broccoli grated into a salad. It's a great way to get more vegetables into one's diet.

You lucky thing. I asked Santa for a pony for years and never got one!

1 - OOOO, do you also play Snooker?

8 - *fist pump* OH YEAH. Star Wars had such an impact upon my 4-year old impressionable mind. Total crush on Luke.

10 - Same thing, except kindergarten. WTH is wrong with me? LOL

How did you get interested in billiards??

Hurray for late-blooming/maturing taste buds! I too LOATHED brussels sprouts until a couple of years ago. My favorite recipe now: sautéed in butter and olive oil with garlic, onions, and lemon.

Re 1: how did this come about? Practice? Tournament play? A devoted grandfather mentor-figure named Minnesota Fats? Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Ooooooh. You had my interest at "dijon." Or maybe (after looking at recipe) HEAVY CREAM. I'll be trying that, thanks for the link.

Fascinating! I love that you and your BFF were hanging out in bars in high school. A. and I used to play a lot back when we first got together (due to a strange increase in both pool halls and cheap tables in the Duluth/Superior area), but we haven't done for ages, I miss it. And we never had our own cues -- very cool!

Weird, I dreamed last night that I was watching a live version of the Big Bang Theory where each of the main guy characters had a catch phrase similar to "Bazinga." So when Sheldon (or whoever, I don't watch the show) would say Bazinga, another guy would say "Kazinga," and another guy would say "Mamzinga." etc.

This useless anecdote has been brought to you by Your Userpic(tm).

I'll have your ginger, then!

Trains! I love trains. One of my favourite things about Japan where the bullet trains. They were awesome.

Cool entry, will borrow for next time as I am about to post my post convention blog now. With how my schedule is I'll do them all in one shot too. Thanks for the suggestion! You're likely a better pool player than I as my bar game is darts. If you still like trains, try the anime Rail Wars that came out recently! I got the Star Wars soundtrack still on a vinyl record! Yes I'm old, heh. Take care!
