Oops I did it again
I might have claimed a prompt over on
sshg_promptfest. Heh heh heh. And TWO of my prompts have been claimed ::preens::
On another fun note, I discovered something called Starship Sofa: The Audio Science Fiction Magazine. It's narrated by a couple of funny and fabulously-accented (I could listen to them all night) Irish guys, who are also well-read, interesting, and thoughtful in their analysis of various SF people and things. This particular post has a long two-part piece on one of my favorite authors, Stephen R. Donaldson, including a reading of his story "Mythological Beast."

I haven't read the rules, so I don't even know if I'm allowed since I didn't submit any prompts. I'm assuming so, but will double-check before e-mailing.
IF I DECIDE TO DO IT. WHICH I MAY. OR MAY NOT.

THAT IS, IF I AM ALLOWED TO CLAIM PROMPTS WITHOUT HAVING SUBMITTED ANY.
STUPID AWESOME PROMPTS.

I currently have a sad, because none of mine have been nabbed yet. But the one I've picked up is ... interesting.

I was surprised by how many great prompts in the 200s hadn't yet been claimed, especially given that every single one of my short list that was below 100 was claimed by the time I sent in my request. It makes me suspect that some people jumped on the first prompts they liked in order to get their first choice instead of reading all the way through. Ah well. More good prompts for johnny-come-latelys like me!

I ALWAYS read the entire prompt list and make a list of ALL the ones I like. Then I wait until near the end so that other people can do the job of weeding my list for me by claiming some of them. This year that got me from 18 down to six, and I ended up with a prompt down near the very end.
As they say, Good things come to those who wait :)
