Yet another legislative body embarks on a shameful and incomprehensible endeavor to seize control of every uterus in their state, and not even let women talk about it. Seriously, what IS it with you people?? And I ask this in all sincerity, because it really does baffle me. (For "baffle" read "annoy the f**k out of".)

Wil Wheaton has issued some satirical and amusing tweets on the topic, however. Best ones:

I want to know if they are going to do this, when will they realize it takes 2 people to make a baby. When are they going to address men's responsibility in this issue?

1- no govt benefits unless a DNA test
2- if it's yours, you pay. Not the taxpayers.
3- if you can't pay, its vasectomy for you because you are not a responsible male.
4- knock up more than 2 women and you aint married to either of them, you pay and vasectomy because OBVIOUSLY you can't control yourself.
5- impregnate a woman via rape...how about the death penalty and all your assets go to the victim.
6- adding if you have more than 5 kids with different women, vasectomy and a carbon tax.
7- masterbation is illegal for you, you are killing millions of unborn children.


this is what does piss me off about the GOP. ( or the dems forcing me on BC or anyone in govt- it's my damn body. leave me the hell alone)

I want them to focus on fiscal responsibility.

LOVE all your points, but point 6 is especially creative -- a carbon tax :D If only the libertarians would agree to protect the environment (since it can't protect itself, and the free market has become so focused on short-term profit that it won't) I would be a libertarian in a heartbeat. Ron Paul was my favorite in all the debates: so honest and so damn consistent, I loved it.

Go Ron Paul- but the media machine warped everything, and he knows it. No more politics for me on LJ. It causes wank. But the whole envionmental protection thing is wrong. In theopry that's possible with any party. But there is also the rules of civil society and freedome for me doesnt mean stealing from others or denying othre's freedom...hence- it makes no sense to polluter the drinking water.

At the rate of population growth and sprawl, the whole US will be paved in less than 50 years.

I'll agree to evionrmental protections when China and India and Brazil and Mexico agree. Go to these place, you will understand what I mean.

Yeah - 30 kids is at least 28 too many. There really should be a penalty for that. And if any of those women knew he had 20+ children, there should be a penalty for them, too.

This regression back to the Victorian era continues to baffle and astound me! I have no idea what goes on inside these people's heads -- and I'm not sure I want to!
