What is this magic??!??!!

It's called "snow" and there is a metric s**t ton of it here in my neighborhood:

Yup, that's a birdbath there, barely visible under the snow. That little black curve on the near left is the bottom of a deck chair, flipped upside down to, er, protect it from the elements.

See how tiny the car looks? That's because the snowdrifts are ENORMOUS. The weeping cherry in the foreground is about six feet tall

You can't really tell, because everything is white, but the heaps along the sidewalk are about 3 ft. tall.

Oh my god am I ready for spring.

To cheer ourselves up, Mr Psmith and I have been looking at pictures from way back when Freya was a full-of-herself little kitten who took no crap from our giant dogs that outweigh her by a factor of 20-to-1 (she hasn't changed a bit, in case you were wondering):

I woke up to SNOW too. And then even though the sun came out and tried his best to melt some of it, the snow kept coming. I decided to let it do its worst and shovel tomorrow. It's Family Day and I'm home. A splendid day to shove snow ... NOT!!!

Freya knows that when you're queen of the world, it doesn't matter how big you are.

Love the icon, fellow Blackadder fan. :)

Good lord that's a lot if snow. Hibernation looks like a good choice

We've had very high winds here and lost our fence this weekend. My sister lives in CT and post snow pix like yours. My kids just sigh with envy, I'm just glad I don't have to shovel!

If only it worked like that!

We've been getting a lot of snow here, too. It seems that every couple of days, it's either snow or the threat of snow. Sometimes we just get a coating... but on a daily basis, it is very disheartening -- like being nickel and dimed to death. I feel like we're locked in a battle with Winter... and we are under siege. I hope that this winter is just an aberration, and we go back to our wimpy winters again. How I miss them!

So will that all be gone by March? April? Doesn't thaw until July?

Ah, snow. I love it, and yet I really only need one massive snowstorm per year to make me happy.

...I think I'd rather have the three foot snowbanks than the Missouri fauna, though.

Kitty! (Big) puppy! Snow!

Yeah, I hear ya; it's getting a wee bit tiresome now, but the groundhogs say we've (now) only five weeks to go. I hope they're right.

Insanity!

We are looking forward to snowstorm #3 of the week tomorrow :/ Although they've just downgraded the prediction of inches, so woot?

*sends you hot toddies and hawt klingons*

Gorgeous! :D But I hope you get your spring soon.

We just had snow this weekend and it's already half melted. Western South Dakota is bananas.
