It's called "snow" and there is a metric s**t ton of it here in my neighborhood:
Yup, that's a birdbath there, barely visible under the snow. That little black curve on the near left is the bottom of a deck chair, flipped upside down to, er, protect it from the elements.

See how tiny the car looks? That's because the snowdrifts are ENORMOUS. The weeping cherry in the foreground is about six feet tall

You can't really tell, because everything is white, but the heaps along the sidewalk are about 3 ft. tall.

Oh my god am I ready for spring.
To cheer ourselves up, Mr Psmith and I have been looking at pictures from way back when Freya was a full-of-herself little kitten who took no crap from our giant dogs that outweigh her by a factor of 20-to-1 (she hasn't changed a bit, in case you were wondering):
