Date: 2016-10-05 04:51 am (UTC)Oh wow, and a thousand times.
I was such a Galaga nerd I clocked it.
Qix was brilliant. and Dig Dug was quite fun.
I would love to play Pac Land again.
Reminds me that I should make the arcade game console with the Raspberry Pi I have sitting on the desk...

Date: 2016-10-06 11:47 pm (UTC)I hope the games will be as much fun as you remember. My husband and I used to play a game called "Gauntlet" in the arcade, waaaaay back when, and we got a copy of it for our computer when it was ported to the PC. It turned out that if you didn't have to put quarters in ... it wasn't quite as much fun. The exploring and combat weren't all that much fun; it was the adrenaline rush of being about to die that made the game so exciting, which it didn't have once it was ported to the PC. We hadn't expected this at all and felt kind of stupid when it happened.
So I hope something like that doesn't happen with your new games! (I mention it not to rain on your parade but so that if something like this does happen to you, you won't feel like an idiot. Or at least you'll have company in idiocy. :-D)
