The AZ Medical Board should (but won't) come out and say that any complaint filed by a patient pursuant to a physician withholding information will be investigated the same as any allegation of serious malpractice. IANAL, but I expect there to be cases of this nature. If I were a woman seeking abortion, and a provider attempted to perform a medically unnecessary u/s, or withheld information from me, you bet I'd be making a complaint to the state medical board.
I hope the GOP War on Women(tm) comes back to bite them. I suspect a lot of women who were not especially politically active are now waking up to smell the witch-burning.
