19 years ago, I sat in my American host family's living room during a Wednesday prayer meeting, listening wide-eyed while their pastor explained how homosexuality is a lifestyle choice (and evil, sinful, a ticket straight to hell).

I'd never have thought that two decades later, this would be possible!
