Just finished No Blood Spilled by Les Daniels. Good news: Don Sebastian Villanueva is a way cool new (to me) vamp character that (a) is not sparkly and (b) is not involved in a love triangle with a werewolf (beg pardon, all you wolf porn fans). Bad news: Daniels only wrote five Don Sebastian books. Smeg on you, Daniels.

Guillermo del Toro just came out with a vampire novel (http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1902395,00.html?imw=Y) that sounds excellent. No twinkly dudes.

Looks excellent, have added it to my ever-growing to-read list. Thanks too for the link to the article; loved his tribute to Dr. Ackula -- he was a great guy and influenced so many people.

Bought the book yesterday. Made the mistake of starting it at 8:30 this evening so will probably be up reading until 3am. And then have to sleep with all the lights on. Brrrrrr.
