Much better than the film.

Huh, did not know there was a film version. Although I love Ballard's short stories and his novel Running Wild, this was for sure not my cuppa. If you want it, PM me your address via LJ and I'll send it out this week :)

The film was awful, which was doubly-disappointing because it came from David Cronenberg.

I already have the book, so won't need another copy :)

A few other Ballard works to look (as well as his short stories) for are his psychoanalytic disaster novels: The Wind from Nowhere, The Drowned World, Drought (aka The Burning World), The Crystal World....
