Furry little guests

So this is who came to visit us this afternoon. I want to hug them, but I suspect they might object, in their small bitey way.

D'awwww! I could even hear the "irritation chirp" of a cardinal in the background, ticked off at the interlopers. They remind me of a family of raccoons we had in our yard the year before last. A mother and four cubs (They are in the bear family; you can see it in their walk.). They used to love to come to our pond at night and play in the "splashy thing" (our fountain). And needless to say, they found our compost pile a smorgasbord. Thanks for sharing this!
